Lacquerware originated from the Bagan province of Burma and later spread across East Asia, with each region adapting the process using locally available materials. Traditionally, these pieces were crafted into vessels known as Shun Ok, used to offer food as part of Buddhist rituals.
Shun Ok is known for its distinctive circular shape, spiral top, and classic red or black finish. This lacquerware set preserves the time-honored techniques, ensuring each piece carries a touch of cultural heritage.
